1916-1922 Commemoration Meeting at Kilmurry
We held our first official meeting on 14th February in the new Museum and Cultural Centre. Gabriel Doherty from The School of History UCC convened a get together of all heritage groups and historical societies from around Co. Cork.
Plans for commemorating the events of 1916-1922 in the County were discussed. Kilmurry is considered to be ideally located to be the focal point for these historical events.
Kilmurry Choral Concert
The Choral Concert was a fantastic night in St. Mary's church Kilmurry. The combined choir of Kilmurry, Cloughduv and Canovee along with Chorus of Cork, Castletown Kenneigh Choir and Glaslyn Choir, Bandon performed to a large crowd and was indeed a huge sucess. Also included on the night were solo performances by Elaine Mulvaney and Angela O'Sullivan. The children of Kilmurry Pre-School opened the performance with their entertaining renditions of some Christmas favourites.
